RE: Ethnic & Dreads

Expert stylist Joy Barnes of The EcoColors Salon had this comment to make about your question: Yes, EcoColors Haircolor is definitely compatible with ethnic hair. Because of the hair density(and the texture), it does require alot more product than relaxed hair would. Regardless of what color line you use, it will be the same amount needed for coverage. The important thing is to make sure that you rinse the color out well and then shampoo several times. It may be helpful to leave the second shampoo application in for 5 minutes before rinsing. If coloring long locs, you would want to increase your rinse time and maybe add in a third shampoo. The EcoColors Shampoo and Conditioner work well to aid in the removal of the color, as long as you follow the above directions.
