I def recommend a Patch Test. i use this on a client that is allergic to hair dyes and IF the color gets on her skin she gets blistered scabs and under the skin lumps from it buut it's much less than with regular hair dye wher she looks like the Elephant man & her ears swell shut and leak with large open blisters. but she still reacts. Which is why we only low light her with this product. if you still react i recommend using it in an off scalp application and putting a Vaseline type product around hairline and using those 'ear bags' to cover the clients ears to ensure the low lighting papers do not touch the ears.
