RE: Hair color Filler

If your hair stops absorbing color, it's because your hair may have been overprocessed and the hair has become porous. When you apply Ecocolors (a permanent haircolor) you should apply it full strength to the new growth and if you need to apply it to faded ends you should dilute the remaining color mixture by half with water to apply to faded ends. since your hair is porous now, you might want to purchase a color conditioner such as Artec ginger root. This brand is sold in salons. You can use it before you apply your color as a filler or after a color to replenish porous ends with a little color. Also examine the products you are using. Your shampoo may be too alkaline, causing your color to fade and your hair to become porous. Artec also makes kiwi shampoo and conditioner which are great for color treated hair.
