You can try 1 part black, 1 part dark brown and two parts bright red. This may get your gray hair to the shade you are looking for. Make sure you always apply the color mixture full strength to the gray area, and dilute the remaining color mix by half with water to apply to the previously colored ends.Never apply a color full strength from root to end for every application if your hair has been previously colored, as this will make your hair too porous. Also be sure to use a sulfate free shampoo.
