I used the golden brown (8N) I believe...I did not do an allergy test, because I knew I was going to dye gray hair one way or another...I had tingling afterwards but no swelling as in the past with my PPD reaction. I want to go a shade darker...8N is too reddish for me. And yes, I will dye again. I know all the lighter shades states PPD free...why can't we have darker shades PPD Free and will the next shade darker medium brown show less reddish highlights...Thanks.
