You can mix and blend shades. For instance, you can make Medium Brown a little lighter by mixing it with Medium Ash Blonde, or mix Warm Auburn and Dark Brown to achieve a natural looking auburn brown. Always perform a strand test though, to make sure you have chosen the proper processing time and that you like the end result before applying the color all over.
