First we always recommend doing a test strand before applying any new color to your entire head. Also we recommend you use a diluted formula on previously colored or porous ends for a processing time of only 5-10 minutes.. You can try washing your hair with a tea tree shampoo to lighten the color tone slightly. More than likely the tone will lighten on it's own in time. The other option is to go to a salon and get a few highlights around the front of the hairline to give the appearance of a lighter shade.
