My hair is naturally dark brown with red highlights. Over the last several years I've been experimenting with more auburn tones, but I would like to get back to my natural color. I do have some gray that I have to cover now, as well. I've tried mixing EcoColors Dark Brown with Reddish Brown and the result was too red and not dark enough. I also tried Dark Brown with Warm Auburn, and although the color was nice, I would still prefer to have darker hair. I read that if I mix EcoColors Black with Bright Red I'll get a mahogany color. Is this true? Will using Bright Red produce red highlights that are too red? What should I use? Thanks.
